Waterloo Park Pedestrian Entrance and Bridge Twinning

This project will greatly improve community access to the historic Waterloo Park. Known locally as the ‘Jewel of the City’, this 47-hectare (111-acre park) is an important green space. Its main trail connects two major universities (Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier) to uptown Waterloo and the expanding technology hub.

TD is sponsoring the creation of a new pedestrian entrance to the park’s Central Promenade, the twinning of the Silver Lake Bridge and the creation of a dedicated cycling route. These improvements will open the way for members of the community to enjoy the park year-round.
